Old Style Valves

As McKenzie Valve innovates and keeps up with modern technology and demands, a few products fall to the side and are no longer produced as mainstream product.  These products are still very functional and have been built to the highest quality standards; therefore, they are expected to have long life spans and still require repair kits and spare parts from time to time.  Unfortunately, not all components are still available.  In order to provide the best support, this section has been added for those "not so young" designs.

Please contact Customer Service for inquiries on older parts.

4" Low Profile, reduced port and modified fullport UZFFR

The 4" Low Profile Ball Valve was originally a reduced port ball valve that evolved into a modified full port, then a full port, and moved from a commodity specific O-ring to a unspecific stem seal.  Even though the original design is no longer produced, the kits are still available under the Repair Kits Section.

4" and 6" Standard Profile, reduced port

The 4" Standard Profile Ball Valve was a reduced port ball valve that mounted on the bottom of a tank car and extended about 6" below the profile of the saddle.  It was replaced by the low profile ball valves.  While this valve was being produced, it came in three basic models based on mounting:  UFRC, UFRCU, and UFRCG.

The UFRC had an external shear ring.

The UFRCU had an internal shear ring.

The UFRCG had a tongue and groove mounting.
